Walter E. Salyers, age 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 8, 2021. He was born on October 31, 1946 in Paintsville, KY. Walter proudly served as a sergeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and went on to retire from the U.S. Postal Service after over 30 years. Walter loved to be thrifty, and if he could "MacGyver" something to make it work, he was more than happy to do so. He attended the Good Shepherd Community Church and was close with Pastor Kirk who baptized him and was with him through his spiritual journey. Walter is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother, Charles and son, David. He is survived by wife, Kathleen Saylers; children, Amanda, Jenny-Rebecca, Rob, Margaret, and John; many grandchildren, including special granddaughter, Kayla; and many other family and dear friends. Per Walter's wishes, there will be no services. Cemetery Details Cremation-No cemetery at this time.
