Warren K. Thompson, 94, formerly of Reynoldsburg, passed away on February 21, 2025. He was born to the late William B. and Corabell Thompson, in St. Louis, Missouri, on October 5, 1930.
Warren graduated from Lee's Summit Missouri Public Schools, and went on to receive a BBA at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, and MHA from the University of Minnesota, doing his MHA Residency at the University of Oklahoma Hospitals. Warren also served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954, receiving an honorable discharge as a Staff Sergeant.
He held multiple senior management positions including: Assistant Administrator, Menorah Medical Center, Kansas City, Missouri; Associate Director, St. Marys Medical Center, Grand Rapids, Michigan; Director of Operations, Medical Center Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama; Director of Development and Operations, Southeast Comprehensive Mental Health Center, Columbus, Ohio; and Director of Development, Franklin County Mental Health Board, Third Party Reimbursement of Outpatient Mental Health Services, Columbus, Ohio.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, William B. and Corabell; his sister, Virginia Lee Fowler (Lorenzo); and his half brothers, Earl Hill and Jesse Kline. He is survived by his loving companion, Helen Richards; his niece and nephew, Jane Howell, and Mark Fowler.
Gathering of friends and family/calling hours scheduled for Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home in Reynoldsburg, from 2:00 PM to 4:00PM. Inurnment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens of Columbus (next to I-270), Thursday, March 6, at 2:30 PM.
