Wayne H. Cuthbert, age 84, from Groveport, Ohio, entered into God's eternal peace on Saturday, August 8, 2026. Born on September 17, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio to Janet K. (Greiner) and Robert H. Cuthbert, Wayne spent his entire life in the Groveport area and graduated from Groveport Madison High School. He earned a degree in Horticulture from Ohio State University and became a second-generation co-owner of Cuthbert Greenhouse; he was raised working in the family business with his siblings.

Wayne spent 57 wonderful years with Rebecca and is finally reunited with her.

In retirement, he took up woodworking and gardening. He made well over 10,000 wooden toys over the years and donated them every Christmas. He was a long-time member of the Groveport Lions Club and Groveport Zion Lutheran Church.

Wayne was known for his humor (good or bad) and his generous heart. He always had a joke to tell and was willing to help anyone in need.

Wayne was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca H. Cuthbert, his daughter Peg Cuthbert and older brother, Ron. Survived by sons, David (Lori) Cuthbert and Tom (Adriana) Cuthbert; 4 grandsons, Zachary, Zane, Joseph and Peter; brother, Bob and sister, Joann (Ed) White; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 12 from 6-8pm at the MYERS-WOODYARD FUNERAL HOME, 587 Main St. in Groveport, OH. Funeral service will be held Thursday, August 13 at 11am at Groveport Zion Lutheran Church where friends may call 1 hr. prior. Interment will follow in Groveport Cemetery. Pastor Paul Sutter officiating.

While flowers are appreciated, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Motts Military Museum (5075 Hamilton Road, Groveport, OH 43125) in memory of Wayne.
