William (Bill) Hall McGlinchey 1942 - 2021 William Hall McGlinchey, passed away on June 25, 2021 at the age of 79. Born in Columbus, Ohio on May 08, 1942. Bill spent his professional career as a dedicated pioneer in the field of alternative fuels where he worked tirelessly to advance clean energy solutions in the automotive industry. He was a life-long advocate for underserved and less fortunate populations, volunteering his time and talents to numerous organizations. A man of faith and service, Bill spent many years as a volunteer and member of The Hideaway Hills Chapel, a place of inspiration and an outlet for his love of giving back. He was a gifted musician and shared his love of music as a member of the Lancaster Community Choir. Preceded in death by his son, Scott Alan McGlinchey and by his parents Catherine (Hall) and Paul Cameron McGlinchey. Survived by children Chris (Traci) McGlinchey, Michelle and (Joel) Reid; grandchildren Sydney, Connor, Spencer, Zoe and Haley; mother of his children and life-long friend, Kay McGlinchey; and loving companion, Peggy O'Dell. Although Bill did not have any biological siblings, his many Cameron and Hall cousins were the best brothers and sisters anyone could ask for and a life-long source of friendship. The family wishes to thank The James Cancer Hospital and all of the doctors and caregivers for their compassion and kindness. A celebration of life will be held to remember Bill, surrounded by those he loved and who brought joy to his life. Friends and family are welcome to join in the celebration on Saturday, July 10 from 2:00-4:00 PM with a service to follow at Gender Road Christian Church, 5336 Gender Rd., Canal Winchester, 43110. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Bill's life may make a donation to Rising Sun Missions, RR 1 Box 631, Sugar Grove, OH 43155, a charity in the Dominican Republic whose mission and work was close to Bill's heart.
