William "Bill" McMahen, age 89, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2022 at his residence with his family at his side. Bill was born in Summerford, OH on October 1, 1932. He is a Lifetime Member of Firefighters' VFW Post 3426, a member of the Quarter-Century Club at Owens-Illinois, retired from Owens-Illinois with 46 years of service. He is preceded in death by his father, Russell McMahen; son, Michael McMahen; and grandchildren, Timmy and Michelle McMahen. Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years, Yvonne; children, Kim (Jan) McMahen, Terry Visnich, Dale Lee "Jake" McMahen; grandchildren, Jeremy McMahen, Jeffrey Johnson, William McMahen, Andrew Barswith, and Meredith (Ian); 3 great grandchildren; brother, Roven Blake; many nieces, nephews and friends. Family will receive friends on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. at the O.R. WOODYARD CO. South Chapel, 1346 S. High St. in Columbus.
