Funeral and Memorial Services
It’s common for families to discount the value of ceremony after the death of a loved one, especially during hard financial times. But we don’t want you to make that mistake. Coming together after a loss is a very essential part of the grieving process. And The O. R. Woodyard Funeral Home focuses on giving families affordable ways to ‘do the right thing.’
It’s natural to be concerned about cost. That’s why we make our General Price List available to you on our website – to give you the information you need to know now, to make the right decision.
Gathering with friends and family gives everyone the opportunity to share memories, express emotions, and find comforting support. The need for acknowledgment of the loss with family and friends is ever present. We can help you create a unique meaningful ceremony – well within your family’s budget – to express the genuine individuality of your loved one.
When you choose burial, commonly any ceremonies we design revolve around the casket being present. You can follow tradition, or choose to have a more relaxed service. Either way, O.R. Woodyard has affordable options, designed to provide value, and create peace-of-mind for our client families.
Please know that cremation only refers to the manner in which you or your loved one has chosen to deal with the physical remains, and doesn’t limit the ways you can honor your loved one's life.
Our on-site crematory gives you affordable, trusted full-service care, and many families opt for a simple direct cremation. But, we always suggest that they choose to have a funeral or memorial service, because their need for such a healing experience is not lessened by the decision to be cremated.
Without a doubt, our professional staff feels pride when we are able to care for a veteran and their family. It is our way of expressing gratitude for their service to the country.
We are committed to taking care of all the details involved in providing the veteran in your life with deeply meaningful and honoring ceremonies.
Believe Us When We Say “You Can’t Do it Over”
It may be rather harsh to remind you of this, but we know this to be true... you simply can’t go back and do this again. It’s our desire that you find peace-of-mind in the future, from the decisions you make today. That’s why we want you to honor your loved one in a way that allows you to look back, years from now, and be thankful that you did the best you could to honor their life.
Creating a ceremony that calls together the hearts and minds of all who loved them is a gift to everyone involved. Contact us today to speak with one of our directors.
